Leaving Antibes

Miss Daisy started her 800 mile journey back to the UK Thanks to the generosity of Fairey Owners Club member Bill Cadbury.

Bill, who built a rig specifically to move his own Fairey boat kindly offered his time, truck and trailer in order to transport our Supersonic Spearfish back to the U.K.  Bill is a true member of Team 747 having obtained Convoi Exeptionnel permits to allow him to travel in France with an abnormal load.  The tractor and trailer required careful preparation before setting off, his E.R.F E10 325 tractor unit is twenty years old and his trailer even older.

Regardless of the age of both the truck or its load they left Antibes  yesterday looking immaculate for the 900 mile journey back to the  U.K. where our main sponsor Swordsman Marine have provided berthing and preparation facilities at Hamble Point Marina.

Team 747 is under way!
