Earls Court Sail Power & Watersports here we come
As a fitting end to a summer to remember Miss Daisy is being exhibited at Earls Court Sail Power & Watersports show.
Well the plan was for the William Cadbury and the Fairey logistics truck to be heading back to a warmer climate once the the French holidays were over. However just like everything this year the plan changed.
The Cowes Torquay Cowes was not on our agenda and we flew the Fairey flag with pride in that event thanks to Swordsman Marine.
Now thanks again to Swordsman Marine Miss Daisy will be at the Earls Court Show along with other boats which competed in the Round Britain 2008.
By the time Miss Daisy gets to to Earls Court she will have had yet another power train refinement;
Napier has done it again, those itchy throttle fingers have got the better of me and by the middle of November Miss Daisy will be running with a pair of Cummins QSB 480's. Well those of you who thought the 380's were 'tight' this is a real challenge as the QSB 480's have substantially larger coolers and turbochargers the size of dustbins. Thanks to Team 747 which includes members of the Fairey Owners Club the engines should be shoehorned into place and trials completed before the Earls Court Show.
I a well aware that more power is a law of diminishing returns but who cares the pleasure Miss Daisy has given me makes it all worth while.
